Fall/Winter 2016 Skin Care
Yes, you read the title correctly. This blog post is dedicated strictly to skin care, specifically mine over the past month. Recently, with the weather changing from Fall to Winter, stress, hormones, and down right neglect my skin has been terrible. Like literally, terrible. Usually I have a normal skin type. But as of late, my skin has been very dry and dull. I have suffered with random breakouts, discoloration, darkspots, and dark eye circles. After looking in the mirror one day and completely scaring the shit out of myself, I decided I had to do something about the current condition of my face.
Enter in the new skin care routine.
Firstly let me say, trying a new skin care routine can be kind of scary. How will my skin react to the new products? How much time will this take out of my day? Will I have to spend a bunch of money on the products?
I used a mix of things to ease myself into this transition. But hands down, my best tip would be to start with sample size or trial size products.
1. They are typically free. You can just drop into your local beauty counter and talk to someone about whats going on with your skin. They have all the tea on the products, and best of all they also know what the consumers are saying about them. This can be your most valuable asset.
2. Check your vanity mirror for product. Most of the time, we only think to run out and purchase new items. However, you may actually we wasting money doing so. I found everything I needed right in my own skin care collection. From samples I had already collected to products I had purchased some time ago for the exact issues I am dealing with now. Sort through it all an put it to use.
